‘Küy’ is an important philosophical and musical concept in Kazakh culture. Apart from its function of dividing styles, it spreads from psychological directions of ‘spirit’ and ‘emotion’ and comprehends all matters, which has become a descriptive and narrative term. The ‘küy’ has endured through the changes of time dating back from pre-Islamic era of Kazakhstan.
