During the six weeks of the residency stayorganized by am Art Space and the Department for Culture and Education of the German Consulate-General Shanghai, Theresa Kampmeier will continue her artistic research on “notions of care / becoming nurse”. Part of this experimental process will happen through an open workshop called “imaginary civic space – introducing works that don’t exist to people who are not looking for art”.
Theresa Kampmeier (*1991) studied Free fine arts with Prof. Willem de Rooij at the Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. In 2015 she visitedChina for the first time during her three months residency at the ChineseEuropean Art Centre in Xiamen where her artist novel “Poems of the Cold” was published as an art piece in civic space.
